Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 13, 2026

OnBox Law ("OnBox Law," "we," "us," or "our") provides on-premise legal intelligence software. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with our website at onboxlaw.com (the "Site") and our software appliance (the "Software"). Our core commitment is simple: your client and matter data stays on hardware you control.

1. Our On-Premise Model

The Software is delivered as a sealed, on-premise appliance installed within your firm's environment. Documents, emails, recordings, and any other matter content you process with the Software ("Client Data") are stored and processed locally on your hardware. We do not host, receive, transmit, sync, or retain copies of your Client Data, and the Software operates without any outbound connection to us for that data.

2. Information We Collect

Because of our on-premise model, the information we collect is limited to the following:

3. How We Use Information

We use the limited information we collect to respond to your inquiries, schedule and conduct demos, provide and support the Software, communicate with you about your account or our services, maintain the security and performance of the Site, and comply with our legal obligations.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share the limited information we collect with service providers who perform functions on our behalf (such as hosting the Site or handling correspondence), and where required to comply with law, enforce our agreements, or protect the rights, safety, and property of OnBox Law and others. Because we do not hold your Client Data, we cannot and do not share it.

5. Telemetry and Tracking

The Software ships with no telemetry and no cloud sync. On the Site, we use only essential cookies needed to operate the site; we do not use the Site to track your activity across other websites.

6. Data Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the limited information we hold. For Client Data, security is a function of your own environment: because processing occurs entirely on your hardware and nothing is transmitted to us, the only copy of your client's data is the one you hold.

7. Data Retention

We retain the information you provide to us only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law. Client Data retention is governed entirely by your own policies and controls on your appliance.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through the Site or directly where appropriate.
